So, electronics in music. What's that all about?

As you'll be aware, electronics has a large imprint on contemporary music. Thanks to voltage, current, resistance, watts and other principals we have pickups, contact microphones, effects units and a vast range of snazzy, digital gizmos. The reality of conducting our own electronic projects, builds and modifications is often one of apprehension, because "electronics is hard/expensive/time consuming". I beg to differ.

So in future posts we aim to look at what it's all about, how to do it, where to get the kit to do it, and profile some of the leading nerds in the art of electronic noise making design and performance, both to inspire and advise.
